Subscribe To Steve Carell's Burt Wonderstone Gets A Director Updates
We are living in tough times, my friends. With Michael Scott leaving The Office, we no longer have a means of seeing new Steve Carell material every week. Seeing as Carell is one of the most likable leading men going at the moment, what's important to remember is that not being on the show will allow him to do a lot more movies, and now one of his upcoming projects has taken a huge step forward.

Deadline reports that Don Scardino has signed on to direct Burt Wonderstone, which will star Carell as a magician who sees his star slowly fade as a younger, hipper magician becomes increasingly popular. The project will be Scardino's first feature film since 1999's Advice from a Caterpillar. All of the filmmaker's work in the past decade has been on television, directing episodes of shows like 30 Rock, Rescue Me and Law & Order. Written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, Burt Wonderstone goes into production in Los Angeles this October.

We all need more Steve Carell in our lives, so the faster this gets here the better. Sure, he has Crazy Stupid Love, Seeking A Friend At The End of the World, and Great Hope Springs coming down the pipe as well, but answer this simple question: is that enough?
