Every once in a while, the ReelBlend guys are lucky enough to get a guest. They like to make sure that it's someone special that they are inviting onto the show. Zak Penn was the screenwriter of a favorite ReelBlend movie, Ready Player One, and made for a fascinating interview. Brad Peyton helmed Rampage with The Rock, and had fantastic stories to tell from that set. And then there's this week... which was a doozy. Want to download and listen later? ReelBlend is available on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, or wherever podcasts are served.
Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld joined the guys for a full hour. And if you like the Deadpool movies, Marvel Comics and the MCU, and basically superhero entertainment in general, this one is a CAN'T MISS!
Rob Liefeld has been the driving (X)force behind Deadpool since the character's creation in 1990. Rob has endured X-Men: Origins -- Wolverine. He celebrated Tim Miller's proper Deadpool movie in 2016. And he happily pulls back the curtain to share all that he knows about Deadpool 2 in a spoiler-filled conversation with ReelBlend co-hosts Sean O'Connell, Kevin McCarthy and Jake Hamilton!
Deadpool 2 is crushing at the box office. The sequel earned more than $300 million in ticket sales on the global scale over the opening weekend... with China still to come. Rob Liefeld opens up to us about the A-list cameos, the treatment of Shatterstar (one of his personal faves), whether Deadpool belongs in the MCU, and so much more. For real, press play on the above podcast!
It wasn't all Deadpool, all of the time. Yes, Rob Liefeld is a vast wealth of knowledge on all things comics, we also recruited him for this week's #Blend game. It happened to be the films of David Fincher, so listen in and see where the guys all fell on #FincherBlend!
