Welcome to HeroBlend #49! This week, Eric and Adrienne have their reviews of Shazam! for you, what Eric learned at WonderCon and CinemaCon (including lots of X-Men: Dark Phoenix info), plus we'll play Eric's interview with Shazam!'s producer, Peter Safran! First, though, we've got plenty of news from this week to talk about, so we'll get into topics like the Avengers: Endgame ticket pre-sales and the new footage we've been getting from the movie, the wild first Joker trailer with Joaquin Phoenix, a big casting update for the Black Widow movie, the somewhat surprising actor (and character) who's returning for The Suicide Squad and more!
Next, Eric managed to squeeze in two conventions in one week, so we'll talk about what conventions are like when you go there to work, and then Eric will let us in on what he saw, did, found out and who he got to talk to this week at both WonderCon and CinemaCon. It turns out that he got a lot of new information on X-Men: Dark Phoenix, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Avengers: Endgame, so we'll touch on all of that, as well. Then, it's time for us to bring out the big guns and fill everyone in on Shazam!
The newest (potential) DC blockbuster has finally arrived, so Eric and Adrienne will start off by giving your their general, spoiler-free, impressions of the film for a few minutes, and then dive right into full spoiler territory and discuss all their surprises, high points, funny moments, that surprising end credits scene and much more. That conversation will lead into Eric's interview with Shazam! producer Peter Safran, where they discussed lots of details about the movie and spoil even more of the action, so be sure to tune in to this part after you've been able to catch the film! Now, sit back and relax, folks, because this is one chat you're not going to want to miss. Ready to dive in? Great! Listen for yourself above!
