These days, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are set to welcome their third child after North and Saint thanks to a twentysomething surrogate. The 36-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians personality and her rapper husband have even had a baby shower, a star-packed party with a cherry blossoms theme to hint their baby might be a girl. (Kardashian later confirmed this on KUWTK.) However, Kardashian has said the surrogacy process is not all butterflies and rainbows. From the sounds of it, emotional and mental stress have replaced the physical stress that plagued Kardashian's first pregnancies. Kardashian spoke about the subject on KUWTK and said,
Getting a surrogate and finding someone that you really trust really is so much more for difficult of a situation than you could really imagine. You have to, like, make sure that their lifestyle is healthy and they have to go through psychological testing, and it was maybe a year before we finalized our current situation. But I think everything happens for a reason, because the surrogate that I really loved got approved and she is such a nice person, like she's so easy to talk to and she's the perfect fit for us, but we have to decide quickly---are we really going to go through with this or are we gonna wait until we feel more prepared.
Of course, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West went full steam ahead with their decision to have a third child via surrogacy. The celebrity duo bounced around the idea of asking a family member or friend for help, but eventually, the couple decided to utilize the support of professionals from an agency. They reportedly paid a standard fee to have their child, and they signed all of the standard paperwork. Now, as the KUWTK cameras revealed, Kardashian seems to be feeling the standard emotional ups and downs that other stars who have had children via surrogacy express sometimes feeling during the process.
In fact, not long ago, Kim Kardashian talked about the "inner struggle" of wishing she could be the pregnant one instead of the surrogate, whom she and Kanye West personally picked. Kardashian said that she felt lucky to have access to options to help her have children, but she also said it was tough sometimes when it came to what Kardashian labeled "the control area."
So, it sounds like Kim Kardashian has been finding it hard to process everything, and it might take some time for her to overcome the confusion. Hopefully, she feels a lot better by the time the baby comes. But even if Kardashian doesn't that might be natural. As mentioned, other celebs who went with surrogacy have expressed the mix of emotions. For instance, Sarah Jessica Parker previously talked about how she adores all of her children, but when she first met her child born via surrogacy, it was a strange feeling because she had not carried the child herself. She indicated there were some detached feelings for a little while, but she overcame those in time. Kardashian probably will do the same if she is feeling any rough emotions when the baby comes. And when the baby comes, we will be here with all of the details.
