The drama between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline has escalated. Recently, K-Fed said he needed more child support to care for the two children he shares with the pop singer. But Jamie Spears, Britney Spears's father, is apparently not having it. He's demanding the dancer turn over his 2017 tax return to see if he's actually in financial need, or if he's taking money from the family. Jamie won't give Federline a penny until he knows K-Fed's full accounting.
As it was reported by TMZ, Jamie Spears won't pay a single cent of the $20,000 a month Kevin Federline has received until Britney Spears's father knows how the money is being spent. More specifically, he believes Federline is misspending the money, not on Spears' sons, but on the four other children that he shares with different women. Federline shares 12-year-old Sean Federline and 11-year-old Jayden Federline with Britney Spears. He is also the father of 15-year-old Kori Federline and 13-year-old Kaleb Federline, whom the dancer had with Shar Jackson, as well as 6-year-old Jordan Federline and 3-year-old Peyton Federline, whom Kevin Federline shares with Victoria Prince.
K-Fed reportedly hasn't given Jamie Spears the paperwork yet. At the moment, Kevin Federline wants to double the amount of child support he receives from his famous ex-wife's finances. But the Spears camp won't budge.
Jamie Spears isn't against giving Kevin Federline more money, to be clear; he just doesn't want his daughter to give her ex-husband any money that's not being used on his grandchildren. And we imagine that things are only going to get uglier from here, especially if K-Fed feels he's being accused.
Despite this ugly custody battle drama, Kevin Federline is keeping in good spirits. On Wednesday, according to People, K-Fed celebrated his 40th birthday with the help of his kids. As recounted on Victoria Prince's private Instagram, the celebrity dad brought in the big 4-0 with the love and support of his caring children. This weekend, K-Fed will continue the birthday bash in Las Vegas, as he's set to DJ in Crazy House III on Saturday night.
Kevin Federline and Britney Spears were married in 2004, and filed for divorce two years later. Since they've broken up, K-Fed and Britney Spears have spared over a variety of issues in their custody battle, which began the day after Britney Spears first filed the divorce paperwork to Federline. Their relationship was the source of a great deal of gossiping and rumors, highlighted by the short-lived reality TV series Britney & Kevin: Chaotic, which aired in 2005. Since then, Kevin Federline has gotten married to former volleyball player Victoria Prince; Prince and Federline wed back in 2013.
