Jessica Simpson Doesn't Want Your Congrats Tweets Because She's Still Pregnant

It’s been a month and a half since Jessica Simpson posed naked on the cover of Elle looking like she was on her way to the delivery room, and still, the damn kid hasn’t decided to come out yet. The exact date of conception isn’t publicly known, but it seems like the singer has been pregnant for at least five years, which is probably why conspiracy theories are popping up left and right. Most of them argue Simpson secretly gave birth sometime in the last week and has been waiting for the right opportunity to sell the story.

I’m not one for believing wild guesswork typically, but given the obnoxious length of time this has dragged out, I was starting to wonder myself. Turns out all conspiracy theories concerning Simpson’s pregnancy are false. The Dukes Of Hazzard actress took to Twitter today to confirm she’s still in the third trimester, and perhaps more importantly, to tell fans to stop sending congratulations tweets. The hard work still hasn’t been done yet.

To everyone who keeps congratulating me on the birth of my baby girl...I'm still pregnant!! Don't believe what you read ladies and gents.

With all this anticipation, it seems like surprise twins would be the only way to live up to the hype. Taking into account advancements in medical technology, I doubt that’ll happen, but nonetheless, my fingers are still crossed. In the meantime, save your congratulations tweets in a word document until the proper moment. Something tells me she’ll be more excited to read them after the big day.
