Johnny Lewis Reportedly Dismembered A Cat At Murder Scene

More details are emerging every few hours in the horrifying Johnny Lewis murder/ suicide case, and they all seem to further paint the picture of a loose cannon who wasn’t in his right mind. During a lengthy search of the property Wednesday, authorities reportedly found a cat, murdered in the same reprehensible way as its owner.

According to TMZ, police think Lewis punched, kicked and tore the animal apart in some kind of frenzy. It’s unclear whether he ended the animal’s life before or after he beat its owner to death, but regardless of when it happened, the actor allegedly did the dirty work without using the large piece of wood he attacked several neighbors with later.

In the months leading up to his death, Lewis reportedly began losing touch with reality. His former attorney Jonathan Mandel told E! News the Sons of Anarchy star was “delusional” and systematically picked punishments following several recent arrests that kept him from getting the substance abuse treatment he clearly needed. Given how far he ultimately went off the rails, it’s unclear whether another spin in rehab might have helped, but in retrospect, it definitely wouldn’t have hurt.

Pop Blend’s sincerest condolences go out to the family of the landlord, as well as Lewis’ family. The latter reportedly spent numerous time over the past year trying to right their falling family member’s ship, but in the end, it was to no avail.
