Mark Hamill Getting Kidnapped By The Joker On Justice League Action Is The Best Thing Ever

Mark Hamill is undoubtedly best known for his live-action work as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise, and fans will see him reprise the role when The Last Jedi hits theaters in December. That said, Hamill is also a legendary voice actor with some major roles on superhero TV shows, including the Joker on Justice League Action and Batman: The Animated Series. Now, Mark Hamill has outdone himself by performing not one but four roles in a single animated clip, and it's totally awesome. Take a look!

The "Missing the Mark" clip was posted by Mark Hamill himself on Twitter, and it manages to show off his impressive vocal range in the span of only a couple of minutes. Hamill played all four parts in this clip: famous actor Mark Hamill, master villain the Joker, 2nd rate villain Trickster, and Swamp Thing. As Hamill amusingly says in his tweet, he's sleeping with every single voice actor who contributed to the clip. Never change, Mark Hamill. Never change.

The short kicks off with Mark Hamill waiting to be picked up by what appears to be the Justice League Action version of Uber. He's surprised when he's picked up by the Joker in his purple car, and he's even more surprised when they're joined by Trickster. The two baddies quickly reveal that the plan is to hold Mark Hamill hostage and score a big pay day off the movie studios anxious to get him back. Their plan is foiled when Mark Hamill begins to use his voice acting chops to mimic their voices and trick them into driving onto the grass, where Swamp Thing is able to scoop them up and an assist.

Personally, it's hard for me to pick a favorite part of the clip. Mark Hamill's version of the Joker is always chillingly hilarious, whether he's on an animated TV show or a video game or even The Killing Joke, although that last one was much more chilling than funny. Mark Hamill playing himself was fun as well. Still, I think the funniest part for me was Trickster's attempt to remember that 1970s movie that Hamill starred in, all about a young man trying to fulfill his destiny... and then coming up with 1978's Corvette Summer rather than 1977's A New Hope.

Given that Mark Hamill has a lot on his plate nowadays with the upcoming release of the highly-anticipated The Last Jedi, it's nice to see him take the time to promote his work on Justice League Action. He won a lot of fans for his voice work over the years, and it's not every actor who can play supervillains and heroes alike. Interestingly, he has also played Trickster in live action on two different Flash TV shows.

You can catch Mark Hamill in live action on the big screen when The Last Jedi premieres on December 15. In the meantime, feel free to rewatch this Justice League Action clip a few more times. It doesn't get any less fun.
