Fear The Walking Dead Just Cast A Lost Star For A Big Role In Season 4

There's some big changes coming to AMC's Fear The Walking Dead. The spinoff ended Season 3 just before the original season began airing its current season, with Madison seemingly moving on to a new location after The Otto Ranch fell. There's been quite a few new actors announced to be joining the spinoff's cast, and now a Lost alum has joined the ranks to get into the zombie killing action. Lost's Shannon, actress Maggie Grace, will join Fear The Walking Dead for its upcoming fourth season.

This news comes to us from Deadline, which reports that Maggie Grace will be a series regular when Fear The Walking Dead returns from hiatus in the spring. While there are currently no details about what the role will entail, her inclusion will no doubt excited the tons of Lost fans who are still obsessed with with the massively popular (albeit strangely ended) series. Fear and Lost likely have a ton of mutual fans, so this was a good call on AMC's part.

Aside from her work on TV. Maggie Grace is perhaps best known for starring the Taken franchise opposite Liam Neeson, and playing the role Irina in the Twilight saga. But her roots will always be on the small screen, as she was an original cast member of Lost, debuting in J.J. Abrams' iconic opening episode. Shannon was the stepsister of Boone, and was portrayed as a spoiled and mostly unhelpful survivor of the crash. She eventually formed a romantic relationship with Sayid before her surprising death in Season 2. Grace would eventually return for the controversial series finale, joining the other survivors of Oceanic 815 in the church after reuniting with Sayid in the flashes sideways.

Maggie Grace is just one of of the many new actors debuting in Fear The Walking Dead's upcoming fourth seasons. Dharma And Greg star Jenna Elfman will also be series regular in the fourth season. The upcoming Walking Dead cross over will also take place in the spinoff, as Lennie James will be playing the role of Morgan in Fear. While it's currently unclear how exactly Morgan will make his way through space and time to join the series, it's definitely a possibility that we'll see Morgan interacting with Maggie Grace's new character in the near future.

Unlike The Walking Dead, Fear seem to be more willing to kill off major characters and change its setting. Madison and her group of survivors have yet to find a permanent home, with the Otto Ranch serving as the closest thing to a permanent home we've seen on the show. But this also allows the spinoff to have very high stakes, as just about every character is in danger of being killed off.

Fear The Walking Dead will return for Season 4 in the summer of 2018. In the meantime, check out our midseason premiere list to plan your next binge watch, and cancellation list to see if your favorite show has gotten the chop.
