Last Man Standing Is About To Celebrate Its 150th Episode Milestone

Last Man Standing Season 17 Nancy Travis and Tim Allen Fox

You may have noticed that Last Man Standing hasn't been standing any new episodes for a while. Season 7's last new episode aired March 22. But in two weeks, Tim Allen's show will not only be back, it'll be back for a major milestone -- the 150th episode of the series!

Perhaps fittingly, the 150th milestone episode is called "Yass Queen" and it has this synopsis, per Fox:

In an effort to help get her clothing line off the ground and into stores, Mike invites Mandy to sit in on a business meeting with an aggressive sales rep (guest star Melissa Peterman). Meanwhile, Ed hires Kyle to transcribe his life story in the all-new "Yass Queen" milestone 150th episode of Last Man Standing airing Friday, April 19 (8-8:30 p.m. ET/PT) on Fox.

Yes, Last Man Standing has only aired 20 episodes on Fox as of this April 19 episode, but it will mark 150 for the comedy at large. As you probably know, Last Man Standing aired for its first six seasons on ABC. It had 24 episodes in its first season, from 2011 to 2012, then 18 for Season 2, and 22 for Seasons 3-6. ABC cancelled the show to much furor, and then Fox swooped in to save it. Now Season 7 is finishing up its 22 episodes.

Last Man Standing is still picking up an average of over 5 million viewers each Friday night, with ratings around 0.9 in the 18-49 demographic advertisers love so much. The show might do even better if Fox was consistent about airing new episodes each week instead of having gaps like the past month.

As far as we know, Fox has every intention of renewing Last Man Standing for Season 8, although it looks like it will lose its Friday night slot to WWE, so we'll have to see where it goes. It may get an upgraded timeslot, in terms of more potential viewers.

Meanwhile, Tim Allen will soon be pretty busy off-screen promoting the big return of Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story 4, which opens in theaters June 21. Last Man Standing already slid in a sly little Toy Story 4 joke last month, which also marked the welcome return of Kaitlyn Dever as Eve Baxter.

Eve is just a recurring character this season, as one of the many cast and character tweaks in the show's move from ABC to Fox. Some of the changes fans may have been fine with, and others maybe fans are still getting used to?

Last night's April 5 episode was a repeat, and there won't be an episode next Friday, April 12 either. But be sure to tune in for the big 150th milestone episode of Last Man Standing on Friday, April 19 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
