Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and Lauren Pesce tied the knot on Jersey Shore Family Vacation, but before that the groomsman were doing all they could to make sure Sitch's big day went off without a, well, situation. But even Vinny and Pauly D can't keep from misbehaving so long as they referenced a classic Jersey Shore moment while preparing their speeches with Ronnie ahead of the wedding.
Classic Shore fans surely know where this was headed, and yes, there was some serious consideration that Ronnie should kick off his speech at the wedding reception by reciting "The Note." For the uninitiated, this iconic note was first read in Season 2 of Jersey Shore, where Snooki, JWoww, and Angelina all tried to alert former castmember Sammi Sweetheart that Ronnie was cheating on her. The letter goes as follows.
The note itself isn't all that special, minus the fact that it caused all hell to break loose in the Jersey Shore house. Sammi went on a rampage trying to find out who wrote the note, and would embarrass her in such a way. Angelina eventually tattled that it was Snooki and JWoww, and there was lots of drama. Ultimately Sammi, JWoww, and Snooki reconciled and directed all their shared anger at Angelina, who left the house soon after and was not an official member of the cast until Jersey Shore Family Vacation.
So, will Ronnie actually follow through and reference the note at The Situation's reception? We'd like to say no because it's probably still a sore spot for Angelina, but it's not often anyone in the house takes her feelings into consideration unfortunately. The bigger reason not to mention it would be that Ronnie's girlfriend and baby mama Jen Harley is in the building, and bringing up that iconic moment may send her over the top.
In short, it would be a terrible idea for Ronnie to actually do that, even if it is a great Jersey Shore reference and super funny. Luckily Ronnie was heard reading part of his speech not long after that joke was made, and the part about mistaking his speech with "The Note" was left out. I'd love to say I have 100% confidence this means he'd know better and not reference his ex in front of his highly volatile girlfriend at his friend's wedding, but we all know their history.
