Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton shared a sweet moment on The Voice that fans may have missed. She has rejoined the series to replace outgoing coach, Adam Levine, and things already got tense! Do not worry, it was pretty easy to miss the moment in question given all of the commotion going on. What happened?

Well, the sweet moment was the calm after the storm that erupted following the Blind Audition of Kyndal Inskeep. The aspiring hopeful belted out “Never Been to Spain” and the trip to turn around got competitive on The Voice.

Gwen Stefani beat her boyfriend and Voice co-star, Blake Shelton, to the buzzer. But it did not end there. Stefani not only turned around; she also evoked a "block" to keep Shelton from being able to select Kyndal Inskeep. Shelton was blissfully unaware until he turned around to see the message scrolled out in front of his chair.

A playful tiff followed, but Gwen Stefani softened the blow with her boyfriend. After Blake Shelton heard Kyndal Inskeep sing “Oklahoma,” Shelton responded as if he knew it was meant to be. He then turned to look at a mischievous Stefani, who mouthed “I love you.” As the camera zoomed in on Shelton, it was clear he held no genuine animus towards his long-time girlfriend.

In fact, his expression seemed to convey just the opposite. In case all of you romantics missed it, you can check out the moment for yourself. Despite the competitive atmosphere, it was all in good fun and gave way to a super sweet moment that was easy to miss.

To make sure you don't miss it again, you can catch Gwen Stefani mouth “I love you” to Blake Shelton at the 1:18 mark. Watch below:

They say working together can make or break a relationship. So far, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton seem to be making it work. The couple has been dating since 2015, and they have kept the romance alive. It helps that they know The Voice well.

Blake Shelton has been a coach since The Voice began and Gwen Stefani has been a coach on past seasons. Clearly, a little healthy competition is not going to hamper the love birds’ connection. Stefani's latest stint on The Voice comes after Shelton’s fellow original coach, Adam Levine, exited the series.

The Season 17 premiere marked the first season without him, and fans had some things to say about that. Viewers felt the loss of Adam Levine and Blake Shelton’s dynamic. However, they now have Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s relationship to help salve the ache. On the coaching front, John Legend may already have Season 17’s strongest competitors.

How did things work out with Kyndal Inskeep? Before the end of her performance, returning coach (and avid fan of Netflix’s Lucifer) Kelly Clarkson also turned around. After some consideration, Inskeep decided to select Gwen Stefani.

Whatever makes Gwen Stefani happy undoubtedly makes Blake Shelton happy. Even if his competitive spirit got a wake-up call thanks to Stefani’s brutal move. Is all well that ends well? Probably. The Voice witnessed a strong performance, a playful rivalry, and a sweet moment. Fans can't wait to see what else the show has in store.

New episodes of The Voice air Mondays at 8 p.m. ET and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. Season 17 of the singing competition is one of this fall’s premieres.
