Who Is Rory's Baby Daddy On Gilmore Girls? Matt Czuchry Talks Keeping The Secret
One of the most beloved shows of all time has to be Gilmore Girls and at the end of the Netflix revival, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, Rory (Alexis Bledel) ended the final episode with the long-awaited words that made fans’ hearts skip. “I’m pregnant.” Former series star, Matt Czuchry, who played Logan Huntzberger, seems to be one of the few who knows who the father is.
While the fans still don’t know who Rory’s Baby Daddy is -- if they ever will -- The Resident actor is one of the few people who was told the true identity of the father. Matt Czuchry told E! News that the creators told him who the father of the baby was and while apparently he got the “OK” to tell people, he didn’t feel right about it. Czuchry explained,
Fans have speculated that the father of Rory’s baby is none other than Logan. Matt Czuchry had a very prominent role in the revival, as Rory, who had a boyfriend at the time, was sneaking around with her former beau. The affair was a surprise to many, as Logan had proposed to Rory during her graduation party in the penultimate episode of the series’ seven-season run. Logan wanted it to be an “all or nothing,” and ended up leaving Rory, even though she wanted to still be with him, just not marry him yet.
The affair in the revival was short-lived, as the two said goodbye to each other once again. In the "Fall" chapter, after one last reunion of the Life and Death Brigade, it was up in the air of whether Logan would ever return to his one true love, and maybe even raise their child together, if it even is his. While Logan wasn't always a fan-favorite, it was still nice for me to see those two back together, even if for a little bit.
It may even be more fun this way, never knowing who Rory’s real Baby Daddy is. Maybe it is Logan and the two got back together, in it for the long haul after all this time. Perhaps it could be Rory’s boyfriend in the revival, whom she barely paid any attention to. Sorry Paul! Matt Czuchry may be playing an internal medicine resident now but he will forever and always be Logan Huntzberger. If we ever find out, and if it is Logan, could this mean the end of the Team Dean vs. Team Jess vs. Team Logan debate? There's also always the hope we could even get another season.
