When NCIS, FBI And More Will Return To CBS After The Latest Delay

CBS

CBS has been going strong with its lineup of Tuesday night dramas, with all three already renewed for the 2021-2022 TV season. Now, however, CBS has pushed back new episodes of NCIS, FBI, and FBI: Most Wanted for a last-minute delay due to the real-life coverage of the guilty verdict in the Derek Chauvin trial for the death of George Floyd. Here is when you can expect the shows back, and what the new episodes will be about once they all return.

A CBS representative confirmed to CinemaBlend that new episodes of NCIS will begin airing next week, on April 27, beginning with the episode that was intended to air on April 20, at 8 p.m. ET. FBI and FBI: Most Wanted, at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. will pick up with their episodes originally scheduled for April 20 on April 27 as well. So, while fans will have to unexpectedly wait a week, the delay isn't too long! As for what's on the way, keep on reading.

NCIS

The NCIS episode that was originally planned for April 20 was supposed to be a big one for Torres, called "Sangre." When it hits the airwaves next week, it will see Torres meet his father Miguel (played by Steven Bauer) who left when Torres was a child. Unfortunately, it is evidence of a stabbing that brings Miguel into the mix, but episode photos reveal that Gibbs will have a part to play in the episode despite his recent suspension, and we do know that he'll be back next season. CBS replaced "Sangre" on April 20 with a rerun of the episode that saw Maria Bello's departure.

FBI

The FBI episode originally planned for April 20 was going to be a big one for Maggie. Called "Brother's Keeper," the episode that will air on April 27 will see Maggie attempting to trust that Erin, her younger sister played by Adrienne Rose Bengtsson, is keeping out of trouble as a new college student in New York. On the case front, the FBI team will have to try and capture a person who is sending explosive packages as well as intercept his latest deadly shipment. The April 20 broadcast is a rerun of "Uncovered," which aired while Josh Segarra's Nestor was still in the mix.

FBI: Most Wanted

The FBI: Most Wanted case originally planned for April 20 was going to see the team go after a vigilante who committed a double murder, relying on internet sleuths for the purpose of vengeance in the name of justice. On the character front, not everybody will approve as Jess and Sarah's relationship continues to grow. Instead of this episode, called "Obstruction," TVLine reports that CBS will air a CBS News special at 10 p.m. ET called The Chauvin Verdict, anchored by Norah O'Donnell and Gayle King.

Tune in to CBS on Tuesday, April 27 starting at 8 p.m. ET to check out what was supposed to happen next on NCIS, FBI, and FBI: Most Wanted on April 20, and be sure to take a look at our 2021 spring premiere schedule for more viewing options.
