Da Vinci's Demons' Exciting, Sexy New Teaser Trailer Arrives
Headed for Starz this spring is David S. Goyer's original series Da Vinci's Demons, a new historical fantasy that tells the 'untold' story of Leonardo Da Vinci. Starz released an exciting new teaser for the series, which offers a glimpse of Da Vinci, a man who's been chosen by fate.
Da Vinci's Demons stars Tom Riley as Da Vinci and tells the story of the legendary thinker during his youth in Renaissance Florence. At 25 years old, this Da Vinci is described as brilliant and passionate, an inventor, artist, idealist, dreamer and a lover. He's also not bad to look at, as you'll see in the video below, which teases this intriguing looking series.
Birds, swords, dramatic moments, pretty people, fighting, horses and because it's Starz, sexy moments! Also on board to star in Da Vinci's Demons is Laura Haddock, who's set to play Lucrezia Donati ("the celebrated beauty with obscure motives), Elliot Cowan as Lorenzo Medici (the shrewd de factor ruler of Florence), Lara Pulver as Medici's wife Clarice Orsini, and Blake Ritson as Pop Sixtus' "ruthless bastard son" Count Riario.
I really want Da Vinci's Demons to be good, especially considering the show arrives Spring 2013, which is right around the time Spartacus should be wrapping up its final season. In fact, it wouldn't be surprising if Starz were planning on kicking off DD just as Spartacus: War of the Damned ends. No official date has been set for either series, but Spartacus is expected to return this January (just a couple months away!), while Da Vinci's Demons arrives this spring.
