The Dog Whisperer Sued

If you haven’t watched “The Dog Whisperer” yet, you're missing out on a great show where host Cesar Milan teaches people that it is themselves that needs training not the dog. I love Cesar's style. He completely understands the animals and can seemingly help any owner with a troubleseome pet. I wish he could train my Siberian Husky, Ella, who has the annoying habit of always knocking over her water dispenser as soon as I fill it up. Gah!!!

Apparently, not everyone is happy with him though. Former “8 Simple Rules” producer Flody Suarez has sued the host for injuries his dog received while at training. Suarez’s dog Gator, apparently had a fear of strangers and other dogs so he was taken to Milan’s Dog Psychology Center in Los Angeles back in February. Suarez complained that a choke collar was placed on the dog and then forced to run on a treadmill until he collapsed.

Well, I don’t know what happened but come on Suarez. Have you watched the show? Choke collars are standard procedure to instill dominance over the animal. It isn’t cruel. Sounds to me that Suarez is one of those “You can’t show discipline to an animal” people but then they complain when their dog attacks poor old ladies walking down the street. I mean, those kinds of people are so naïve that I want to smack em. Hmm.. maybe I need therapy myself. If I need a choke collar, I want [deleted]. Sorry, I think I was about to go too far.

Seriously though, if the dog was hurt, that’s horrible but I have to think there is more to the story than we’re hearing. When Suarez sues for extra compensation because the dog is his production company’s logo, I begin to detect other reasons for the suit.
