Fox Mulder Wants To Make You Laugh

Showtime has picked up an untitled comedy from Tom Kapinos. Kapinos was a long time writer and executive producer on the teenage soap ‘Dawson’s Creek.’ Joining Kapinos, to executive produce and star, is former ‘X-Files’ actor and current Pedigree dog food pitchman David Duchovny.

According to the Hollywood Reporter the show will center around a writer (Duchovny) who is raising a sixteen year old daughter while fighting an unhealthy lust for beautiful women and still pining for his ex-wife. Showtime has ordered twelve episodes of the unnamed laugher.

Former ‘24’ director and Emmy winner Stephen Hopkins will also executive produce. No information yet on who will play the daughter, wife, or the scores of hot women Duchovny will be lusting after.

Showtime is planning on launching the series in August to pair with critically acclaimed third year project ‘Weeds.’ If this show is even half as intelligent, funny, and thought provoking as ‘Weeds’, Showtime is sure to have itself another smash hit.

No word yet on why all of David Duchovny's pictures seem to be so homoerotic.
