John Stamos May Still Be Trying To Get The Olsen Twins On Fuller House

Damn you, John Stamos; I had absolutely no intention of crying today. Despite a relatively mixed reaction from fans, Fuller House will indeed receive another season from Netflix. As such, the ageless Uncle Jessie decided to commemorate the occasion with a throwback video to the original Full House that not only hits fans right in the nostalgia, but seems like a thinly veiled plea to get the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen to come back to the series and reprise their roles as the Tanner twins. Check out the Instagram post below to see what we’re talking about.

Last week John Stamos decided to celebrate Throwback Thursday on Instagram with a post from the early days of Full House. The video, taken by Stamos, comes from behind the scenes of the iconic sitcom and shows him playing with the incredibly young Olsen Twins. We can hear his voice trying to get the girls to say his name, at which point the toddler adorably barks out “Jessie,” for their Uncle Jessie.

If you don’t think that’s the cutest thing you have seen all day then I am sorry to break it to you: you’re heartless. However, beyond the cuteness factor of the whole thing, there’s the distinct possibility that John Stamos may in fact be trying to convince the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen to come on board for the next season of Fuller House. We obviously could just be grasping at straws here, but the inclusion of a #fullerhouse hashtag seems like an endeavor to generate fan support for the iconic twins to make their way back to the San Francisco-based sitcom that made them household names.

Despite the fact that almost every member of the Full House cast returned for the Netflix revival, fans could notice the absence of the famous set of twins. The creative forces behind the series seem to understand the void that they have left, because at one point they even tried to get Scarlet Witch herself, Elizabeth Olsen, to step in and fill that void.

Even if the Olsen Twins don’t respond to this post, and never sign on to reprise their roles on Fuller House, I think we can all agree that John Stamos’ Instagram is endlessly on point. Kind of makes my last #TBT look like a complete joke… Anyway, we will bring you any and all updates related to Fuller House Season 2 as they become available to us; the first season of the revival series is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
