Just a little over a month after we learned the Kardashian family had re-upped its contract with parent network E!, the cable station is introducing a programming slate that will include even more of the Kardashian-Jenner brand. In 2015, E! will introduce us to Dash Dolls, a brand new reality show that will look at the world of boutique fashion through the eyes of the Kardashian sisters’ business. It’s not the only new program E! plans to unveil over the next few months, either.
If you’ve had enough of Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and half-sisters Kylie and Kendall, you won’t be seeing much of them in Dash Dolls. Instead, the series will follow Khloe’s pals Malika Haqq and her twin sister Khadijah Haqq, as well as many of the other young and attractive women who run the Dash boutique in Los Angeles that is owned by the Kardashian sisters. Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian will come in on the producing end, executive producing the eight-episode series. Dash Dolls is expected to hit the schedule in the fall of 2015.
Keeping up with the Kardashians has been on the air for nine seasons, and as of this post date, the show isn’t going anywhere. E! has signed on for an additional four seasons of the hit show, and at the time of the big renewal, outlets also mentioned that Kim, especially, was excited about producing her own television programs. Dash Dolls will give her the opportunity to do just that. In addition, while the Kardashian sisters will not be leads on Dash Dolls, I wouldn’t be shocked to see one or more of them pop up at some point.
Along with Dash Dolls, the network actually has two other shows in the works. The first is Stewarts & Hamiltons, a new 8-episode series following Rod Stewart’s daughter Alana, her ex-husband George Hamilton, Ashley Hamilton and his half-brother George Hamilton, Jr. It seems as if it will feature some more zany Los Angeles personalities, which E! is undoubtedly not short on. The second show will be called WAGS, which stands for wives and girlfriends of sports, and will follow ladies who have bagged athletic husbands. So, basically it’s exactly like Basketball Wives, except with different sports. Both new shows are expected to premiere on the network this summer.
What’s more exciting about E! at the moment is the network’s original programming slate, which includes The Royals starring Elizabeth Hurley. That show has already been renewed for a second season on E! and we’re pretty excited about it, if only because it means the channel’s schedule is broken up a bit from its usual reality, reality and more reality pace.
We’ll let you know when Dash Dolls and the other new programs land on E!’s schedule.
