Saturn Awards Show Love For Lost, Heroes And BSG

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror films has announced the nominations for the 33rd Annual Saturn Awards. The Saturn Awards celebrate science fiction, fantasy and horror in film, television and home video. This year, ‘Lost’ took the most nominations, getting a nomination in six of the seven available categories. ‘Heroes,’ which debuted on NBC last fall, scored five nominations.

The CW network, which is virtually ignored by The Golden Globes and The Emmy’s, did not go unrecognized by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror films. ‘Smallville’ received two nominations, including a Best Supporting Actress nod for Allison Mack. ‘Veronica Mars,’ which is neither Sci-fi, nor fantasy, nor horror, managed to get a nomination for Best Network Television Series as well as a Best Actress nomination for Kristen Bell.
