Scott Foley Upped To Series Regular On Scandal For Season 3

Nobody puts Jake in a corner! Or a hole, as it were. Things weren't looking so good for Scott Foley's character Jake Ballard at the end of Season 2 of Scandal, but that wasn't the last we'll see of him. In fact, it sounds like he'll be around even more as Foley has been upped to series regular on the ABC drama.

TVLine reports that Foley will return to Scandal for Season 3 as a full-fledged series regular. Foley joined Scandal in the middle of Season 2, playing the mysterious Jake Ballard, a man who - spoilers if you aren't caught up on Season 2 through the finale - was keeping tabs on Olivia and reporting back to the President. Spying turned to seduction and Jake and Olivia ended up in bed. The bigger reveal was that he was tasked to seduce her for some unknown reason by his CIA black ops team B-613 and Olivia's father Rowan. Weird stuff. Where that story's going, we can only guess, but we now know Jake will be a part of it.

In addition to playing Jake on Scandal, Foley starred in Fox's The Goodwin Games and played Patrick Devins in HBO's True Blood. Before that, he appeared in Grey's Anatomy and Cougart Town.

ABC has Scandal Season 3 set to air on Thursday night at 10:00 p.m. starting in the fall. And the Season 2 DVD will hit shelves this September.
