Shameless has become one of my favorite shows, chronicling the ups and downs of the dysfunctional Gallagher clan, including perpetually drunk patriarch Frank (William H. Macy) and stand-in mother figure Fiona (Emmy Rossum). The show is wrapping up its current season with tomorrow night's finale, and they're bringing in at least one recognizable guest star. Dharma & Greg's Jenna Elfman will be putting in an appearance, and TVGuide.com has posted a first look at her in character. Warning: we've got some minor spoilers regarding her role below the picture, so don't read any further down if you want to remain untainted.
Elfman will be playing a patient at the psychiatric hospital where Gallagher mom Monica (Chloe Webb) winds up in the aftermath of her suicide attempt during last week's episode. That's the only details TVG provides, but you can probably expect her to play a major role in the finale.
Shameless airs its season finale tomorrow night, April 1st, at 9/8c on Showtime.
