A new trailer from Vigil Games provides a look at Darksiders II's new protagonist Death. Vigil says that he's one of the most feared Horsemen and you can see why from battle footage.

The developers describe Death as more calculated, elegant, and agile. He's able to use a much wider range of weapons than Darksiders protagonist War.

"He’ll pretty much use any weapon that’s made available,” said Vigil general manager David Adams. "You can get big axes, you can get crazy cool claws, big iron fists. And he’ll even shoot guns. He’ll use anything that he can, really."

His primary weapon is a scythe. It can be used as a two-handed polearm or split into two separate blades. It seems to be a choice between power and speed.

Darksiders II will hit the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 this summer. A Wii U version is planned as well.
