I'm excited about Bedtime Stories, despite the fact that I'm not 10 years old and know this movie could very well turn out to be terrible. So sue me-- I like adventure movies. The promotional footage we've seen for the movie so far has all been pretty similar, and the latest "Extended look at Bedtime Stories" trailer posted to YouTube is no real exception.
The weird thing is it's pretty much identical to the trailer, except that Russell Brand is completely cut out of it. Was that whole prank phone call thing in England such a big deal that Disney thinks he could sink their movie? There's also another troubling note added this time around-- the bug-eyed hamster, seen early in the trailer and forgotten, apparently makes an appearance later on, breakdancing. I'm putting my faith in an Adam Sandler children's comedy, and you're expecting me to accept a breakdancing hamster?
Still, I will not be deterred. Check out the extended look here and see if you still think the movie will be worth your time.
