Emma Watson is the only one of the Harry Potter kids who hasn’t really done much outside of the Potter movies. With the last film in the can and Emma suddenly more interested in acting than ever, that’s about to change. She’s already filmed a part in the upcoming My Week with Marilyn and she’s currently at work on the set of The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

The movie’s based on a popular young adult novel and seems like perfect material for Watson, whom I once boldly declared as the only one of the Harry Potter kids with any real talent. I’m standing by that. Emma, don’t make me look stupid.

She stars in the film opposite Logan Lerman and thanks to Caught On Set the first series of images from the Perks of Being a Wallflower set have appeared on the internet. Here’s your first look at Emma in her Wallflower best:



The Stephen Chbosky authored book is about a mixed-up teenage kid played by Lerman, who falls in with a crowd of outcasts, including Emma Watson’s character Samantha. Chbosky actually wrote the script and he’s directing the movie, which might explain why Emma’s keeping a copy of the book close on set.
