OK, I'll admit it. I'm part of a younger generation that doesn't know all that much about Steve McQueen. But apparently my elders in Hollywood are dead set in me learning more about that guy, now that there are two biopics in the works about the action star.

We've already told you about the first project, and now Variety has announced that there's a second one planned, based on the memoir by McQueen's first wife, Neile McQueen Toffel, titled My Husband, My Friend.

This is by no means the first time two battling biopic have been in the works. Recently both Gus van Sant and Bryan Singer were planning biopics about Harvey Milk, and now that van Sant's Milk is an Oscar nominee, it's hard to imagine that Singer will ever get his made. Now the question is which project can get going first, and whether we'll be seeing McQueen's story from the point of view of his professional biographer, or his first wife. Give you one guess which one will be juicier.
