The newest installment in the X-Men franchise is in theaters, only this time, it’s a prequel. X-Men: First Class tells the story of how Professor X first formed his school for gifted mutants and explores his relationship with the man who would be Magneto, before their friendship turned to enmity. But if you’re a hardcore fan of the previous four movies, then what you really want to know is whether this movie fits the continuity already established for these characters. The answer to that question is… kind of.
