BREAKING MOVIE NEWS
Ace Ventura Pet Detective could have been a heck of a lot darker than it turned out. While it’s known as one of Jim Carrey’s more well-known and highly over-the-top comedies, earlier drafts of the script included gruesome beheadings and one guy’s suicide by shooting himself through the mouth.
Oh, Kevin James. What are we gonna do with you? Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2. Really? To inspire better choices for you in the future, here are 10 comedians who’ve dabbled in drama and have become better actors for it.
It's pretty rare to see Hollywood movies about cannibals, but a rather star-studded one is now in the works - and what's more, it's apparently a love story. Titled The Bad Batch, the project added Jason Momoa to its cast last month, and now word has come down that he will be joined in the movie by Jim Carrey, Keanu Reeves, Diego Luna, and Suki Waterhouse.
These 10 stars once sat on a Hollywood pedestal, collecting accolades and enjoying financial perks after cranking out hit after hit. But the well of creativity has run dry for these once bankable talents, and they could use a hit to boost them back up to the high echelon of Hollywood royalty.
The organizers of the Česky Lev awards in Prague are kicking themselves for being dumb (and dumber). They apparently don’t know what Jim Carrey looks like, as they mistook an imposter Carrey for the real thing.
Riddle me this, riddle me that, would Jim Carrey be up for another dance with The Bat? Find out here.
Romita was most upset because he felt Carrey could have played up his anti-gun agenda without hurting the movie, and hurting the crew that worked extremely hard to produce the film.

Within the continuity of the franchise, Dumb and Dumber To is set a full 20 years after the events of the first movie – but you wouldn’t necessarily recognize that from the maturity of its main characters. But what if we catch up with them in 20 years from now? Will they be smarter or more socially adept at all?
Forget Jennifer Lawrence. Another A-lister with deep ties to directors Peter and Bobby Farrelly actually IS in the film, in a VERY brief scene that is flying under the radar. You can watch it here, if you want to, and we’ll reveal the person’s identity on the other side of the clip.
When it comes to making sequels, Hollywood is pretty good at pumping them out within five years of the original - but some take a tad bit longer to get made. Dumb and Dumber To falls into the latter category. The film is arriving in theaters on Friday nearly a full 20 years after the first film came out in 1994. Sometimes on a movie duo works fabulously together onscreen, but utterly loathe each other offscreen. Rumor has it this was the case for Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart on Sabrina, Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey on Dirty Dancing, and even Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling on The Notebook. Well, add Batman Forever's dastardly duo of Tommy Lee Jones and Jim Carrey to this list. It turns out Jones loathed Carrey, and had no trouble letting it be known.
A brand-spanking new trailer for Dumb And Dumber To has been released, and it shows Jim Carrey’s Lloyd Christmas wearing a suit that fires lasers. The clip also features a whole host of new gags, some of which are funny, others that simply aren’t, but it’s impossibly not to smile when you see Carrey and his co-star, Jeff Daniels, who’ll play Harry Dunne, back on-screen together.
Secondly, where does Kick Ass go after part two? The comics have a very conclusive, movie-ready ending in regards to volume three. Could that be the fates of Kick Ass and Hit Girl? The second one had some pretty harsh reviews, and for good reason.
