BREAKING MOVIE NEWS
Animated comedies tend to boast some serious Hollywood muscle these days, but we're actually quite impressed with the cast The Secret Life Of Pets has amassed. Find out who's joining Louis CK and Kevin Hart after the jump.
There may have been some worries as to whether a romantic comedy starring Simon Pegg and Lake Bell would be a good idea or not but with the first trailer of the duo's latest film Man Up having dropped late last night, most of those worries can now be put to rest. The new trailer, which you can view below, has many elements that could make it one of the best rom-coms to grace our screens in years.
If you're a big Owen Wilson fan, you're definitely going to want to watch the trailer for No Escape and see how he's turned from a goofable loveball to a one man army.
Bell and Pegg are both excellent comic actors, so itíll be great seeing them play off of each other rather than someone more Hollywood being thrown in there. Second, the Tess Morris-penned script was on the 2011 Brit List, the U.K. version of the top screenplay Black List. (Itíll be Morrisí first feature though, so we have nothing to compare it to.) Third, it will be helmed by Ben Palmer, best known for having directed quite a few episodes of the hilarious BBC comedy The Inbetweeners, as well as the almost-as-hilarious The Inbetweeners Movie in 2011.
In the film, Bell stars as Carol a vocal coach who lives in the shadow of her father (Melamed), the king of movie trailer voice-overs. But when it's announced that they are looking for a trailer voice for a hot upcoming new franchise, Carol suddenly finds herself fighting for the gig.
In Black Rock Aselton, Bell and Bosworth play three childhood friends who travel to a remote Maine island for a reunion, only to find their trip completely derailed by an accident that leads to them being hunted down by some off-kilter hunters bent on revenge
No Strings Attached is about what happens when Natalie Portman forces Ashton Kutcher to have frequent, consequence free sex with her. If this were real life, the movie would be over in 5 minutes
