As Donaka Mark, Reeves seems dead set on corrupting the virtuous nature of Tiger (Chen), a Tai Chi master, by talking him into raising up in the ranks of an underground fight club. Kill or be killed is the law of the land.
The star plays a deep-voiced manipulator running an underground fight ring who believes that he has found a true contender in Tiger (Tiger Hu Chen). The warrior is recruited into a crooked ring that tests his mettle, as well as his pure will to fight for the right reasons.
Maybe Iím the odd man out, here. This is a decent trailer, isnít it? All the fighting and flipping around certainly seem a lot more exciting than whatever Reeves is talking about in the voiceover. Oh, he was talking about the plot? Dammit. The trailer threw me off by initially showing him sitting with his back to the camera, which is bizarrely similar to a moment or two in The Matrix.
The long-time actor is looking forward to making his directorial debut with Man of Tai Chi, a movie he wrote and will also star in, according to The Wrap. Details beyond the fact that heíll star as the filmís villain are slim, but it will be a martial arts film with stacks of action so high you canít see the tops of them
