Thirty-seven-year-old women don’t often get married without telling their parents, but then again, they also don’t often marry men whose last names are Rocknroll. That’s exactly the situation Kate Winslet found herself in earlier this month, however, after the actress and her boyfriend of one and a half years, Ned Rocknroll, decided to tie the knot in front of a dozen or so friends and family members.
Sixty-five-year-old Rolling Stones slide guitarist Ronnie Wood married for the third time during a smallish ceremony in London yesterday, wedding thirty-four-year-old theater producer Sally Humphreys. There are few activities in the world more stressful and frustrating than planning your own wedding. It requires making thousands of choices and setting aside hundreds of hours. I’m a dude, and the process gave me more than a few headaches. I can’t imagine how much worse it must be for brides. Hell, I can’t imagine how much worse it must be for celebrities.

Anne Hathaway’s and her fiancé Adam Schulman have been pretty quiet about their love life. It was the paparazzi, not the celebrity herself, that caught her with a ring on her finger and broke the news of her engagement, and if you want to know about any of her wedding plans, she’s staying pretty mum. Luckily, designer Valentino Garavani is making it easy for us, at least when it comes to the wedding gown design.
