Snooki And JWOWW Hosting MTV's New Year's Show
Tonight, fans of New Yearís Eve television festivities will have plenty of options to choose from, from Ryan Seacrest to some messages from TV show casts on NBC. Now, MTV is throwing its hat into the New Yearís Eve ring with a special celebration hosted by two of MTVís very own: Snooki and JWOWW.
Any show with any sense at all rings in the New Year in Times Square in New York City. Thus, MTVís show, titled Club NYE 2013, will air live from the famous NYC location tonight, and the two Jersey Shore besties will be joined by a slew of musical performers for the big event. According to THR, Ke$ha, Ne-Yo, Sean Kingston, Conor Maynard, and Rita Ora will all perform across the night. Additionally, the Knocks will act as the DJís during the broadcast. Ke$ha is probably the biggest name set to perform during the broadcast, but unfortunately, fans wonít be hearing her biggest single, ďDie Young,Ē out of respect for those who lost their lives during the tragic Newtown, Connecticut shootings.
So, how does MTV stack up against the rest of the New Yearís Eve fodder on the major networks? Fox is airing its New Yearís Eve special from Las Vegas and will headline American Idolís Phillip Phillips and The X Factorís Tate Stevens. NBC is also going the way of competition singing shows with its performers. Carson Daly will host, and the network has The Voice winner, Cassadee Pope, set to perform. Additionally, NBCís lineup boasts Train. Of course, Ryan Seacrestís ABC event has the most prominent musicians, and will rock out with Taylor Swift and Carly Rae Jepsen.
Fans will have to pick their poison tonight, but if MTVís Club NYE 2013 is where you want to be, youíll be able to catch the special beginning at 11 p.m. ET.
