Watch Legendary Wrestler Chris Jericho Work As A Weatherman

I never thought I’d live to see the day when celebrity weather reports became a trend, but that day is certainly here. We’ve seen the likes of Flavor Flav and many others tackle the green screen and give us the local weather, and now former WWE star Chris Jericho has taken on the task. You can watch his impressive take on a weather report, below.

There’s always a bit of a wow factor in seeing a celebrity do the weather in place of a sweaty reporter dude or proper looking reporter lady. What I love about the Weather Network’s report is that Chris Jericho is super hyped up to be the guy to bring you the latest weather news. He mentions that he’s wanted to be a weatherman for forever, and that he finally has gotten the chance to fulfill his dream. He then hops around the country, giving us weather reports from places as far apart as Sheboygan, Wisconsin and much warmer Florida locations.

If you are looking for a comprehensive weather report, we have to say this one isn’t it. But if you are looking for asides and amusing anecdotes, this video is a winner. At one point, Chris Jericho even talks about growing up in Winnipeg, which is a really cold place. He mentions that once a person has been cold in Winnipeg, he or she can’t be cold anyplace else. This is Jericho's version of the weather report, people.

Of course, the wrestler has plenty of experience with entertaining people across multiple mediums. Chris Jericho began wrestling in 1990, but he didn't really start coming into his own until the late 90s. He found success in ECW, WCW and finally the WWE, where he was known as Y2J. He went on to win numerous championships and won the respect of wrestling fans, thanks in large part to his blend of technical precision and impressive athleticism. During semi-regular hiatuses from wrestling, he's found time to act, sing in a band and generally market himself as a celebrity on shows like Dancing With The Stars and Best Week Ever. Thus, a move into weather reporting shouldn’t come as a huge surprise, but it is an engaging segment, nonetheless.

If you think Chris Jericho’s weather talents are worth a watch, you’ll probably enjoy the similar segments that celebrities have put together for local news stations. Do check out Flavor Flav on the Salt Lake City news. Or, if you are feeling like watching a really great weather report, Bruce Campbell’s stint on Good Day Chicago is also worth a watch.
