The new episode of Mortal Kombat: Legacy just dropped, and it's certainly well worth a view, at least for any of you with positive memories of the video game franchise. Unlike the last one which focused on Jax And Sonya, this new ten minute increment takes a look at Johnny Cage. The actor turned realm defender is chronicled from childhood wannabe ninja to teen heartthrob to reckless adult in a Biography knock-off rife with unintentional comedy, out of control egos, vicious ass kickings and failed reality pitches. Ultimately, it culminates in his being offered a chance at redemption.

For any of you familiar with the Mortal Kombat, that chance at redemption is a tournament in which the best fighters in the world square off against those from another realm for ultimate supremacy and rule over the domains. I know it sounds awful on paper, but it's actually a whole lot of gimmicky fun. Take a look at the clip below…

What you just saw was the third of a total of nine episodes. They've been appearing weekly and will continue to do until the project has run its course. It's probably safe to presume they'll eventually be bottled together in some sort of DVD release, but until then, keep checking back here at Cinema Blend for the new episodes of the Kevin Tancharoen-directed production.
