Battlefield 3: Fault Line Episode 1 Trailer And HD Screenshots

Oh good goodness. The new in-game footage of Battlefield 3 will leave a lot of gamers wide-eyed with their mouth gaping and hands twitching. While EA may be using the moniker of "Most realistic racing game ever” for NFS Shift 2: Unleashed, I think it’s safe to say that they should also tag Battlefield 3 with "Most realistic first-person shooter ever."

The near three minute trailer is an exercise in interactive tension. The realism captured with the Frostbite engine and the in-game atmosphere is unbelievable. It’s amazing that the actual gameplay could be that freaking smooth. In fact, I’m almost tempted to call shenanigans because I just don’t see how a game like this could even run on the Xbox 360 or PS3. What’s more, I think this game will royally bury the next Glitch of Duty game in review scores and gameplay integrity if Dice can ensure that Battlefield 3 is a stable playing game.

Anyway, enough gushing. You can blow your own mind with the new footage of the game below. Episode 2 is set for release two weeks from now on March 16th. You can bet your bottom dollar we’ll have that video posted for you as soon as it hits the net. In the meantime, enjoy some HD screenshots or head on over to the Official Website to learn more about the game. I guess I better start pricing the latest Nvidia cards if I want to experience some full fledged physics-based, team-oriented combat.
