Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow 2 Trailer Announces Gabriel Belmont's Return, Might Show Alucard

MercurySteam is developing a sequel to the PS3 and Xbox 360 game Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. A new CGI trailer for Lords of Shadow 2 sets up the story. Be warned, though: it contains a pretty big spoiler from the first game.

During the events of Lords of Shadows's DLC, Gabriel Belmont became a vampire. This puts him in a pretty awkward position with the rest of the Belmont clan, who are famed vampire hunters. Gabriel must fend off his human pursuers while also preparing to fight a new threat.

After wiping out an army of human soldiers in the trailer, Gabriel is confronted by a white-haired swordsman. A lot of people will assume right off the bat that it's Alucard, the half-human/half-vampire son of Dracula from Symphony of the Night and other earlier games in the series. However, Lords exists outside the original series' storyline so who knows.

Lords of Shadow 2 is due sometime in 2013 on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
