Capcom released new info on Devil May Cry along with five new combat screenshots of the game. While a lot of core fans have become disgruntled with Ninja Theory's take on this popular Japanese franchise, Capcom hopes the new information will sway the angry core gamers towards the revised take on the series.
First up, the new info basically drops some background details on Dante...he was raised by demons. Well, not exactly. He was raised in various foster homes, orphanages and institutes, all of which were operated by demons. These nasty demons beat up Dante, tortured him and exacted all kinds of ugly violence on the kid growing up. Given that demons made his life a living hell, Dante now wants to return the favor, hence why he's so angry at demons and it's why he looks like a crack whore. So there you go, blame his crack-whore look on the demons. Doesn't it make you want to kill those demons, knowing they made your beloved Dante look like a crack whore?
Moving on...Dante's sword was given to him by his daddy Sparda when he was young, enabling him to defend himself from all those nasty demons. Dante's trusty dual pistols, Ebony and Ivory, come from an unknown source.
Well, enough about information dropping...I think gamers have learned enough for today about the upcoming Devil May Cry for the Xbox 360 and PS3, which is due out later this year.
