Gamescom 2014 Press Conference Schedule: When And Where To Watch The Biggest Reveals

Gamescom, the biggest gaming convention in Europe, will be returning this week to Cologne, Germany. Even if you're not attending the show, you can watch all of the action live through several different websites.

Here are the times of each of the convention's biggest events, along with a list of places you can check them out.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Multiplayer Reveal

Time and Date: Monday, August 11th at 1pm EST, 10am Pacific

Description: Sledgehammer Games and Microsoft will kick off the week with a livestream of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's multiplayer. This will be the first time we've seen footage from the game's online modes. In addition to showing off the first multiplayer trailer, Sledgehammer will discuss a bit about the game's new online features.

Where to watch: You can check out the embed of the event here. Alternately, you can watch on CallofDuty.com, Xbox Live, Windows Phone, or the official Xbox Twitch channel.

Sunset Overdrive

Microsoft's GamesCom 2014 Press Conference

Time and Date: Tuesday, August 12th at 8am Eastern, 5am Pacific

Description: Microsoft hasn't detailed their plans for their GamesCom press conference. They'll probably share further details on their big fall releases for Xbox One like Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Sunset Overdrive. Speaking of Sunset Overdrive, maybe they'll announce that white Xbox One bundle leaked by retailers? There's a chance they'll have some brand-new game to reveal as well. It's too late for them to announce a major Fall 2014 release but perhaps they'll show off an indie or two.

Right after the press conference is over, Microsoft's Major Nelson and AceyBongos will stream gameplay footage from several holiday releases. The games being shown off will include Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizon 2, and Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

Where to watch: The media briefing and playthroughs can be watched on Xbox.com, Xbox Live, Windows Phones or Twitch.

Until Dawn teaser

Sony's GamesCom 2014 Press Conference

Time and Date: Tuesday, August 12th at 1pm Eastern, 10am Pacific

Description: Sony will respond to Microsoft with their own press conference hours later. Their plan will probably be similar to Microsoft's: hype up the fall releases and then make a few 2015 announcements. The holiday launches on display will likely include LittleBigPlanet 3 and DriveClub.

Sony has released three teaser trailers for their press conference. Each shows a blood-stained, snowy environment. Many believe that Sony is hinting at a full reveal of Until Dawn. Until Dawn was a horror game initially revealed for the PS3 back in 2012. Presumably Sony will reintroduce the game and confirm a PS4 release.

Where to watch: Your options for the press conference include Twitch, PlayStation Home and Sony's Gamescom Hub.

Dragon Age: Inquisition

EA's GamesCom 2014 Press Conference

Time and Date: Wednesday, August 13th at 4am Eastern, 1am Pacific

Description: EA will be the only third-party publisher holding their own press conference. The company will present The Sims 4, Dragon Age: Inquisition and FIFA 15 during the presser. All three are coming out this fall so expect some big details and possibly lengthy demos for each.

The publisher will also make time for its 2015 releases. They mention Battlefield Hardline and Dawngate by name in their announcement. Dawngate is a free-to-play MOBA currently in open beta. Hardline is a cops-and-robbers spin-off of the Battlefield series that was recently delayed to next year.

Another game that will possibly appear at EA's press conference is BioWare's new horror title. The studio's been releasing teaser trailers for the project over the past couple weeks. It seemed as though they were ramping up anticipation for the game in advance of a Gamescom reveal.

Where to watch: EA will broadcast their presser on their official website.

Metal Gear Solid 5: A Phantom Pain

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain Preview

Time and Date: Wednesday, August 13th at 2pm Eastern, 11am Pacific

Description: While Konami won't be hosting a formal press conference, they will be hosting an event focused on Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. They'll show off new gameplay footage during the livestream. Director Hideo Kojima will be on hand to take questions after the presentation is over.

Where to watch: The full event can be watched at Konami's Twitch channel.
