Guncraft Adds Meteor Survival Mode

Exato Game Studios has unleashed a brand new mode for Guncraft, the Minecraft meets Call of Duty mash-up, called Meteor Survival. It's very similar to the survival mode from Minecraft where players must survive a meteor storm.

As noted in the press release...

A brand new competitive mode, players must freeze opposing foes as a steady shower of lava-based meteors rain down, transforming the friendliest of stages into a burning inferno.

One of the things that really makes Guncraft stand out from Minecraft and Ace of Spades is how it seamlessly blends competitive, action combat in with the standard build-anything-you-want theme. What's more is that you can also use the prefabrication editor to setup and construct template structures that you can save and then later spawn into the arena. Need a sniper's nest? No problem. How about a wall to lay down suppression fire? Piece of cake. Need a helipad for the drop ships? Easy peasy.

Guncraft's dynamic building tools combined with fast-paced first-person shooter action has made it an easy mark for the attracting both casual and core gamers for its mix of genres and easy to grasp play mechanics. I don't know if it will be more engaging than Cube World, but Guncraft at least seems to be carving out its own little niche.

You can vote for Guncraft right now on Steam's Greenlight to have the game approved for appearance on Steam's store, or you can learn more by visiting the game's
