Monster Hunter Online Will Release Internationally, Beta Set For June

Rejoice dear Monster Hunter fanboys and fangirls, Capcom and Tencent's upcoming CryEngine 3 powered MMO, Monster Hunter Online, will not be exclusive to China. The game will launch internationally for a wide audience and there is a beta set for this June.

With the new CGI trailer released, courtesy of Escapist, Capcom and Tencent are fully fledged and underway into the hype train leading up to the first set of stress tests for the highly anticipated MMO.

I've definitely grown weary and tired of many multiplayer online titles out there, but Monster Hunter is one of those rare RPGs where turning it into an MMO is only the right thing to do. Funnily enough it wouldn't even be the first MMO within its own sub-genre despite originating the whole monster hunting motif. Other games before it have already launched to some modicum of success using the monster hunting party system, such as RaiderZ and Hunter Blade.

The upcoming MHO title will retain a lot of the same qualities that made the original console and portable releases such a massive success, including tons of customization options for male and female avatars, amazingly weighty physics and enough dynamic, graphically beautiful moments powered by Crytek's latest iteration of the CryEngine to keep you coming back for more.

We'll keep you posted on when the beta gets underway for Monster Hunter Online. For more info, feel free to visit Capcom's Official Website.
