My Little Pony Game Rainbow Dashes Onto iOS And Android
Having converted macho dudes into bright-pink-wearing, Fluttershy loving bronies, it's impossible to deny that My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is something of a force to be reckoned with. Despite its rabid, devoted fanbase, though, the television series hasn't really received a decent treatment on the video game front. Gameloft hopes to change that with the impending launch of the free-to-play My Little Pony for iOS and Android devices.
The formula is pretty familiar: a world building game where players manage resources, interact with wandering characters, and play mini-games to help keep things fresh. But now that Gameloft has wrapped that skeleton with the skin (Oh, gross) of the My Little Pony franchise, fans the world over can finally live out their dreams of building and playing in Ponyville.
Along with building Ponyville to your liking and squealing for joy as the various ponies come out and interact with your creation, you'll also be able to play dress up with your favorite ponies, take part in a high-flying coin collecting game, collect falling apples and more.
So far, only a “this holiday season” release date has been announced. But for the millions of Pony fans with an iOS or Android device in their pocket, chances are pretty good that Gameloft's newest free-to-play title can't get here soon enough.
