Sniper Elite V2 Announced For Xbox 360 And PS3, Coming 2012

505 Games and Rebellion announced today that a new version of the popular head-popping, eye-blasting sniper game will be arriving for the Xbox 360 and PS3 sometime during 2012. The newest game will continue the expansion of a franchise that dates back to 2005.
Ian Howe, Managing Director of 505 Game commented in the press release, saying...
“We guarantee that the sequel will be the most authentic WW2 sniping experience ever – not just in terms of weapon ballistics, but also in delivering the heart-pulsing tension of those do or die moments where one shot really does matter.”
It will be interesting to see what Rebellion does with the game. Their history of making unique action games speak volumes, so hopefully they’ll continue that trend and deliver an outstanding, action-packed title that isn’t just another blockbuster military-shooter.
The game – as mentioned in the first paragraph – is due out next year for the Xbox 360 and PS3. You can keep track of Rebellion’s progress as well as other 505 Games by visiting the Official Website.
