The Sony Next Generation Portable's launch line-up will include a brand-new game in the Uncharted series. Uncharted: Golden Abyss is in development at Sony Bend, the studio behind PSP shooter Resistance Retribution.
Golden Abyss takes place before the events of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Treasure hunter Nathan Drake is in search of a lost city. The story was written by Sony Bend's John Garvin, with assistance from Naughty Dog creative director Amy Henning.
The gameplay seems similar to the PS3 Uncharted games. Golden Abyss uses a third-person perspective and features a mix of platforming and cover-based shooter action. Certain segments of the game will utilize the NGP's touch and motion technology.
