The Avengers Assemble On The Streets Of New York In New Concept Art

Now that The Avengers production has wrapped up in Cleveland, we've been hearing that some of the team will be headed to New York City, which the streets of downtown Cleveland have been subbing for all this time. While there aren't yet any set photos showing off the full team of Avengers on the streets of New York, SpiderMedia.ru (via Coming Soon) have snagged some concept art that gives you a much better look at it than any spy photos possibly could. You can check out the full Avengers team cracking the pavement, and also a look at Loki in full villain mode, looking like he's about to leap and take out Thor at any moment. Take a look below.

These concept art images-- we've seen several already, including this actually good one-- are all great to look at, of course, but they also feel a little misleading, so clearly hearkening back to the comics origin of these characters but giving us little idea how it'll look when they interact on the screen. We've yet to see any official photos of the whole bunch together, and Marvel seems to be trying to appeal to our memories of the comics-- or creating memories of the comics for those of us who have never read them-- before focusing on the actual actors in costume. It seems to be an effective strategy so far, but I can't be the only one dying to see some flesh-and-blood humans in these images at some point.
