Ben Affleck's Argo Cast Grows By Three

Ben Affleck has already managed to assemble one hell of a team for his third feature film, Argo. Starring himself in the lead role, actors like Alan Arkin, John Goodman, Bryan Cranston, Scoot McNairy and many more have also signed up, but apparently Affleck isn't done just yet as he's just added three more names to his cast list.

Variety has learned that Taylor Schilling, Tate Donovan and Nelson Franklin have all joined the ranks of the upcoming Argo. Set in 1979, the film is about a covert mission orchestrated by the CIA to rescue U.S. diplomat hostages in Tehran. They did this by pretending to set up a Hollywood production for a sci-fi movie called Argo and actually employed producers and make-up artists to help make it all look real.

In the project, Schilling, who stars alongside Zac Efron in the upcoming The Lucky One, will play Affleck's wife; Donovan, who is known for his role as Tom Shayes on the FX show Damages, will be a U.S. embassy consular officer based in Tehran; and Franklin, who you may recognize as the guy who told Scott Pilgrim all about Ramona Flowers in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, will play a reporter.

Following Gone Baby Gone and The Town I am immensely curious to see where Ben Affleck's career goes, and judging by the talent that he's managed to get together for Argo I think it's clear that actors feel the same way. The project doesn't have a release date set yet, so we'll just have to be patient while we wait for it to hit theaters.
