HHG Trailer In Quicktime

Well, as promised, the first real trailer for Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy debuted last night on Amazon.com… in really crappy, tiny, horrible, grainy, insulting streaming video of course. It’s right on their front page, so you can’t possibly miss it. Just click here.

But, if you’d like to be able to download the thing, and see it in a slightly more palatable size, I’ve managed to dig up a Quicktime link for you. It’s not perfect, and it’s still a little grainy, but it’s a hell of a lot better than struggling with that streaming garbage on Amazon.com. A few people haven’t been able to get it to work at all. So, get it in Quicktime through the link below. Or, I’ve thrown a few screencaps down at the bottom of this page for you, if you just can’t stand the download.

My first impression is a little mixed. The movie looks really slick, the effects are pretty impressive and yeah… Zaphod has a third arm. Hard to tell much more than that from this. The music is a little too Men in Black for my tastes, as if they’re trying to market it with that vibe. This is not MIB. Still, this shows promise. Hopefully it’ll only look better as we see more of it.

UPDATE 2/17 The above Quicktime link may have gone dead. However, here's a couple of DIRECT links to larger, clearer version of the trailer on Amazon.com which may work better for those of you having trouble with it: WMV HIGH RES and WMV LOW RES
