Iron Man 3 Lego Sets Feature Possible Spoilers

Perhaps the most amazing thing about Iron Man 3 is the fact that we really don't have much of an idea of what the movie is actually about. Sure, we know that Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is going to be dealing with some heavy issues in a post-Avengers world and we know that he will be facing off against his ultimate enemy, The Mandarin (Sir Ben Kingsley), but outside of that every little detail we've received has been incredibly vague. But now some new plot details have emerged and it's from a very unlikely source: a box of Legos.

Warning: The following could end up having spoilers for Iron Man 3. If you wish to go into the movie as fresh as possible I would recommend turning around right now.

All set? Then let's proceed!

Bleeding Cool has posted three images of upcoming Lego sets that will serve as a tie-in to the next big Marvel Studios movie, and while two of them don't bring much to the table, the final one might give us some significant insight to what the sequel is doing. To start we have the Iron Man: Malibu Mansion Attack box, which doesn't have any spoilers simply because it's a shot literally taken from the trailers, though it is interesting that The Mandarin appears to be on the helicopter that is destroying Tony's house. Will that be a detail in the final movie? We have no idea.

The next one up is a much smaller set and could very well not be taken from the actual movie. The picture shows a battle between Iron Man and The Mandarin, with the latter riding in some kind of strange vehicle:

And now we come to the potentially spoilery one. This box, called the Iron Man: Extremis Sea Port Battle, actually doesn't seem like that big of a deal...until you read the names of the characters in the set. The guy driving the boat with the messed up face is labeled as Aldrich Killian, who is played by Guy Pearce. Does this mean that Killian will be the one who is given the dose of the super soldier serum that turns him into the monster from the "Extremis" arc in the comics? It certainly seems like a possibility.

Iron Man 3, which is directed and co-written by Shane Black, will be in theaters on May 3rd. For more, head over to our Blend Film Database.
