Michael Douglas' Stunt Double Looks Exactly Like Him

As we've written about before, there are some actors in Hollywood who are fortunate to have stunt doubles in Hollywood who look exactly like them and can follow them from project to project. As it turns out, Michael Douglas is one of these lucky few, and he hasn't wasted his good fortune. In fact, he's been partnered with the same stunt man for three decades - up to and including his work on Peyton Reed's upcoming superhero film Ant-Man - and as you can see from the photo below, the resemblance is rather uncanny:

Having wrapped production on the new Marvel Studios film this past weekend, Michael Douglas took to his personal Facebook account to both make the announcement and give thanks to Mike Runyard, his "stuntman and golfing buddy for the last 26 years." Looking back on his professional history with his friend, the Wall Street star posted a set of photos of the two men working together over the years. The first image above features Douglas and Runyard both suited up as Dr. Hank Pym in Ant-Man, while the second goes a bit back in time. The second behind the scenes still comes from 1989's Black Rain (where Douglas played a motorcycle riding cop):

The third and final image is from David Fincher's The Game in 1997, though you can't really see Douglas' face:

Looking at their shared filmography on IMDb, it actually looks as though Michael Douglas and Mike Runyard actually first worked together on the 1983 mystery film The Star Chamber (meaning they have been working together for 31 years), but that's far less interesting than the fact that they've worked together on more than a dozen projects together over the years. In addition to the titles already mentioned, they both were in The War of the Roses, Basic Instinct, Falling Down, Disclosure, A Perfect Murder, Wonder Boys, One Night at McCool's, Don't Say A Word, The In-Laws and Behind the Candelabra.

You'll be able to see their latest collaboration in theaters next summer when Marvel Studios; Ant-Man arrives on July 17, 2015. You won't necessarily be able to recognize Runyard's work, but know that he is there.
