One Sheet Wonders

Posters exist for movies that are coming out some time soon. We have them. We keep them to ourselves, but take pictures of them to prove to you that they actually exist. Then I throw them up with some words and call it news.


As the only CGI movie hitting theaters this year that doesn’t make me cringe, Madagascar feels it has earned the right to deluge us all with character posters for creatures we know nothing about and for which we do not care. Forget the touting big name stars as voice talent. Bring in a mix of voice actors and Cliff Clavin.

Comparison clobbered.


Sahra is fighting for a favorable Indiana Jones comparison, but the poster isn’t even quite up to the level of Alan Quartermain in King Solomon’s Mines. Why does Steve Zahn look like Stephen Dorf, and why does Penelope Cruz look like Rachel Weisz?
