That Saw III Footage

A while back we raged talked about how Lionsgate had intended to reveal a preview clip from the upcoming Saw III before Crank and how it was mysteriously pulled at the last minute for being "too intense for exhibition". A quick look at their marketing track record offered a fishy suspicion of manipulative hype.

Firstly if you have some prime advertising real estate and you can't show what you want, you show the next best thing. But no, they just pulled it without regard. Strange no? Secondly, as we pointed out before, they took their sweet time in changing their minds after the announcement. Two days in fact, during which they must have suddenly decided that people weren't ready to see the clip which they had promised them. Thirdly, they've done the exact same thing before with their promotional posters, going after images which they must only assume will cause waves with the MPAA. Fake anti-hype is old news. But at least when Hitchcock had ambulances outside the theatre, it was funny.

Well now the clip in question has finally showed up on You Tube via Filmstalker in all it's gore glory. And the R-Rated clip, which for some reason wasn't allowed to be shown in front of an R-Rated movie, is apparently suitable to be televised on Spike TV's Scream Awards. Hmm... my bullshit detector just exploded. Switch yours off before watching below.
